A YOUTH GROUP and their sponsors came on mission to Immaculate Conception Parish in Rio Grande City. There were twenty-two which hailed from the Dallas – Fort Worth area. We provided sleeping accommodations and a place for their meals, which were brought in by the hosting parishioners. In the a.m., they had sessions with middle school students (Vacation Bible School). They left with hearts full of gratitude.

Our YEAR 1 OBLATE CANDIDATES (18 of them) met with Judy Rodriguez, an Oblate, who guided them on the most difficult and foundational virtue: HUMILITY. No arrogant person will make it to our FINAL DESTINATION. “Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine!” Along with Humility, they shared an article on gender confusion, written by Fr. Tad, expert in Bioethics.

Seventy-six men from Starr County were here on their 4 day MEN’S ACTS Retreat. Conversions, hearts reconciled with God, reconciled relationships, healings in families were experienced. Jesus is alive!

FR. JOE VILLALON AND HIS VIBRANT STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS, from St. Theresas parish in San Benito, TX were here for their annual 3-day retreat and planning sessions. Our faithful and generous BENEDICTINE OBLATES provided them (and us) with awesome meals!

Coming up at the end of July we will hear a joyful noise from some EIGHTY-ACTS TEENS AND STAFF for their four day retreat.
